Game mode
Boss Battle
A co-operative review game. The whole class fights one boss on the projector: right answers hit it, wrong ones heal it.
- The whole class plays together
- Phones, tablets or laptops
- Free to host, and students need no account
How to win
Answer questions correctly to deal damage. Reduce the boss HP to zero before time runs out.
What happens in a game
- Streak damageConsecutive correct answers increase your damage output
- The boss mutatesThe boss evolves mid-fight — harder to kill, higher stakes
- Raid eventAt 50% HP, everyone taps together for a burst of bonus damage
- Beat the clockWrong answers heal the boss — accuracy matters as much as speed
Why it works in a lesson
Boss Battle rewards consistent accuracy over speed. Students who normally struggle with timed quizzes can still contribute meaningfully because every correct answer counts. The shared goal creates genuine classroom energy — students cheer for each other instead of competing against each other.
